Thank you for using HappyMemo (Notepad application for handwritten character input).
By adopting "Input palette of enlarged size" and "Function to edit input sentences", you can easily draw characters even at your fingertips and realize the necessary practicality for notepad.

Introduction

HappyMemo is a new type of notepad that does not use a keyboard.
In order to handle analog (image) characters, there are several unique functions as below.

入力画面

When drawing characters, use the input area (Input-Palette) appearing from the bottom.
Since the pallet size is four times the memo line, only a part of it can be seen on the smart screen.

If you tap the ZOOM button under the palette, the pallet size will be 1.5 times more.
This function is an effective means for writing complicated kanji etc.

2) Correct the written characters

HappyMemo has a function to correct once written letters and sentences.
Tap on the right end of the scroll bar at the top of the Input-Palette to display a red translucent "Edit-Panel".
Four types of edit modes (overwrite, insert, delete, clear) are arranged on this panel with icons, and you can select and edit the necessary method from this.Of course you can edit already written sentence as well.

What is Palette-cursor ?

If you select one of "edit mode" and "drag" on the palette, a rectangular cursor will be formed on the screen. (hereinafter referred to as Palette-cursol)
- The shape of the cursor is a rectangle surrounded by the start and end points of the drag.

In addition, when repeating the drag, only the cursor by the final drag remains on the screen.
Therefore, you can change the cursor position by dragging a new line.

m3x2cur.png

- Then, place the Palette-cursor on the part of the written sentence you want to edit, and execute the selected editing process.

Procedure of editing work

The detailed procedure for editing the characters written on the palette is explained below.

① First, select the "memo line" to edit and display it on the palette, tap 3Up.pngbutton on the scroll bar to open "Edit-Panel".

② Next, tap the icon in the Edit-Panel and select "edit mode" you want to run from now.

③ Drag on the palette to adjust the range of the cursor (the part you want to edit).

④ Finally, touch the " OK " button at the bottom right of the palette to execute the editing process.
(Editing results will be displayed on the palette immediately)

Reference example

The content of "memo line" before editing is
" I have a Pineapple-pen . ", Ultimately change this to
" I have an Apple-pen . "

Below is an example of how to perform this change processing using various edit modes.

Content before editing
The Edit-Panel is already open.

edit01.png

Slide the scroll bar to display "Pine" on the palette.

edit02.png

Then tap the OK button to hide the "Pine" character with this cursor.

edit03.png

On this palette, the character "Pine" has been deleted. (At this time, the edit pallet is closed automatically.)

edit04.png

Replacing characters
Next, capitalize the first character of "apple".

3) Tap the 3Up.pngbutton to open "Edit-Panel".
Then, tap the m3x2ovw.png icon in the Edit-Panel to select "Overwrite" mode. This time a white cursor is created by dragging.

edit07.png

Again (tap OK ) button. The palette display contents are copied to the memo page. And you can check the contents of the entire line.

edit08.png

5) Here you can see that it is necessary to change "a" to "an".
So add "n" between "a" and "Apple-Pen".

Move position of sentence
However, this time, since the space between "an" and "Apple" is too narrow, it became necessary to add space between them.

6) Tap 3Up.png button again to open "Edit-Panel".
Next, tap m3x2ins.png on the Edit-Panel and select "Insert" mode. Now a translucent cursor is created by dragging.

edit09.png

Then, tap the OK button.
As a result, the characters following "Apple" moves to the right by this cursor width in the palette display.

edit10.png

Check the entire characters

What is this app used for?

Application example

- Memorandum Notes
- ToDo list
- Notes while listening to lectures
- Schedule chart
- Drafts such as composition
- Shorthand Writing(stenograph)
- Easy record, diary etc

Changes in ver 1.8.0

1. "G pen mode" (line width dynamically changed) was added.
- When writing letters by handwriting, the line width has been fixed so far. (Pencil mode)
By selecting Gpen mode, the line width automatically changes (narrows) in relation to the direction the pen tip moves and the moving speed.
If you get used to it a bit, you can draw with Brush style or calligraphy, and you can express more variety.
And the most promising effect of this mode is to speed up writing sentences.
The reason is that expressions using
① cursive letters, ② character written in running style, ③ single stroke letters, etc.
become easier.
*How to change pen mode
Please tap the menu button while displaying the input palette, and the two modes alternate.

2.An underscore- cursor was added to the memo line and displayed.

underscore-cursol

- An underline is additionally displayed in the memo line for the range displayed on the input palette.
This underline moves left and right in conjunction with the scroll of the input palette, so it becomes easier to understand where you are going to write in the line.

3. Both display/non-display operation of child memo have changed to double tap of parent row.
(Up to now, it was specification to double tap inside the child memo when closing the child memo.)

Changes in ver 1.6.0

1. It corresponds to notch screen of iPhoneX.
2. The number of lines on the memo page has been extended from 30 lines to 32 lines.
3. Even when the input palette is opened, the line width of input characters can now be selected.
- In the pen mode, the line width is sequentially changed each time the pen button is double clicked.

penchange.png

4. You can now add child notes (8 lines) tied to each line of the memo page.
- By double tapping a non-blank line, a small memo of only 8 rows opens just below it.
- To close the small memo, double click that child note.

childEng.png

childEng2.png

 - You can also enter handwritten notes for child notes in the same way.
 - If there is something written in the child memo, a red triangle mark is displayed at the right end of the parent note.
 - If the contents of the parent note are cleared (become a blank memo), the content of the child memo is forcibly deleted.
